Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Quit Weed mobile apps, the website at quitweed.app, and related support content. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the product.
1. Operator
Quit Weed is operated by Michal Janecek. Contact: privacy@quitweed.app.
2. What Quit Weed is
Quit Weed is a consumer self-help, general wellness, educational, and tracking product for people trying to quit or reduce cannabis use. It provides progress tracking, motivation, milestone content, educational information, source-based health and withdrawal timelines, reminders, and related recovery-support features.
Quit Weed is not offered or marketed as a regulated medical device, therapist, treatment provider, emergency service, or crisis line. More detail appears in the Disclaimer.
3. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use Quit Weed only if doing so is lawful where you are and permitted by the platform you use. You must be at least 16 years old, or older if a higher minimum age applies under your local law or the relevant app store listing.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, applicable law, and the rules of the platform from which you obtained the app, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Quit Weed for your own lawful private use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5. Ownership and intellectual property
Quit Weed, including its code, branding, text, design, artwork, screenshots, website content, and original materials, is owned by or licensed to Michal Janecek unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, republish, scrape, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Quit Weed except where mandatory law clearly allows it.
6. Medical and emergency limits
Quit Weed is provided for general information, habit support, self-tracking, and educational recovery guidance. It does not provide medical diagnosis, psychiatric care, individualized treatment planning, clinical monitoring, or emergency intervention. It does not review symptoms in real time or send medical alerts. The lung-recovery timeline shown in the app is an educational estimate based on published references, not a diagnosis. If you are in crisis, experiencing severe symptoms, or need urgent help, use professional or emergency services rather than relying on the app.
7. Optional account and cloud backup
You can use the app fully without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, you create an account with us and may turn on cloud backup. Cloud backup is opt-in and off by default.
- You are responsible for keeping access to the Apple or Google identity you used to sign in. If you lose that, you may lose access to your Quit Weed account and any cloud-backed data.
- You may delete your account at any time from the in-app account screen, or — if you can no longer open the app — by requesting deletion at quitweed.app/delete-account. Deletion removes your account and backup data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Where supported, the app also lets you request provider authorization revocation. Skipping or failing that provider step does not stop deletion of your Quit Weed account and cloud data.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse the service, attempt fraud, or violate these Terms or applicable law.
8. Purchases, billing, and ads
- Paid features currently include a lifetime purchase option and recurring subscriptions, including monthly and yearly plans, depending on platform and store availability.
- Recurring subscriptions generally renew automatically until cancelled through the relevant app store before the next billing date, unless the purchase screen or store rules say otherwise.
- Prices, trial details if any, billing frequency, taxes, and renewal terms are shown in the relevant app store or purchase flow before purchase.
- The website itself does not process card payments for the app.
- Billing, receipt handling, subscription management, cancellation controls, restore flows, and most refund mechanics are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules and policies.
- Family Sharing is not enabled for Quit Weed subscriptions or the lifetime purchase.
- For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google through their store support channels.
- The free version of the app may contain advertising.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Quit Weed in violation of law, platform terms, or the rights of others,
- attempt to interfere with the app, website, analytics, ads, accounts, cloud backup, purchase flows, or infrastructure,
- misrepresent yourself in support interactions or when creating an account,
- create multiple accounts for abusive purposes, or attempt to access another user's data,
- copy or commercially exploit the product without permission, or
- use the product in a way that is fraudulent, abusive, or technically harmful.
10. Third-party services and external links
Quit Weed relies on established third-party providers, including Apple, Google, and Cloudflare, and on the app stores for distribution and billing. External links may also lead to app stores, articles, or other services outside our control. Those services have their own rules, terms, and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their independent operation.
11. Availability and changes
Quit Weed may change over time. Features, content, screenshots, data models, ad behavior, design, or legal pages may be updated, suspended, or removed. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every feature will remain the same forever.
12. No guaranteed results
Quitting cannabis is difficult and highly individual. Quit Weed does not guarantee sobriety, reduced use, a specific health outcome, a certain timeline, or freedom from relapse.
13. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quit Weed is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind except those that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quit Weed will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app, website, third-party services, or reliance on the product's informational content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Consumer rights
These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer protections that apply under your local law. If mandatory law gives you stronger protection, that law prevails to that extent.
16. Privacy and cookies
Use of Quit Weed is also subject to the Privacy Policy. Website analytics and browser-storage details appear on the Cookies and Website Data page.
17. Governing law
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, with EU consumer-protection law applying where it offers you stronger rights.
18. Apple standard terms
If you use the iOS version, Apple's standard licensed application terms may also apply: Apple Standard EULA.
19. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when the product, its third-party providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date and version at the top of this page are updated whenever the Terms change. Material changes trigger a re-acceptance prompt in the app.
