Cookies and Website Data

This page applies to the website at quitweed.app. It does not describe the mobile app's on-device storage in full; app-related privacy details appear in the Privacy Policy.

1. How the website handles consent

quitweed.app uses a consent banner for optional website analytics. By default, optional analytics are off. If you accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics. If you reject, optional analytics remain off. You can reopen your choice later using the Cookie settings control on the website.

2. What the website stores locally

The website may store:

  • a local record of your analytics-consent choice so the site can remember it, and
  • if you accept analytics, Google Analytics cookies or similar browser-side identifiers used for measurement.

3. What happens if you accept analytics

If you accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics to measure basic website performance and usage, such as:

  • page views,
  • general visit patterns, and
  • basic interaction events such as store-badge clicks.

The website is not intended to run a broad website advertising stack or a separate website remarketing setup.

4. What still happens even if you reject analytics

Rejecting optional analytics does not stop strictly necessary technical processing needed to deliver the site. For example, the hosting and CDN setup may still receive IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, and similar request metadata to serve pages, cache assets, keep the site secure, and prevent abuse.

5. Other third-party requests on the site

  • The website may request third-party resources that are needed to render or deliver content, which can cause those providers to receive standard browser request data.
  • If you click through to Apple, Google Play, or another external site, that third party may use its own cookies, SDKs, or tracking under its own policies.

6. Browser controls

You can manage or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. You can also change your analytics preference using the site's Cookie settings control. Blocking all storage may affect how some sites behave.

7. Related privacy information

For the broader app-and-website picture, see the Privacy Policy.

Optional analytics stay off until you choose

Quit Weed uses optional Google Analytics to understand website traffic and page usage. Reject keeps analytics off. Accept turns analytics on. You can change this later at any time.
